Instant analysis of the Patriots drafting TE Jaheim Bell

The New England Patriots in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL  Rob Mcclanahan Jersey draft, which is expected to be the team's final pick.Bell (6-foot-2 and 241 pounds) is a bit undersized for the position, leading to some i sues as a blocker. However, he does have the ability to be a solid threat down the seam, which was the Patriots' bread-and-butter while Rob Gronkowski was in New England.Heading into the draft, tight was a need for the Patriots, as they have three veterans at the top of the depth chart (Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper and recently-signed Mitchell Wilcox), but there's not a ton of depth there. He'll likely compete with La'Michael Pettway for a spot on the bottom of the roster or the practice squad. The seventh and final round of the NFL draft each year is such a crapshoot, that most of these guys are fliers that teams will take and bet on their upside. If Bell can help open up the field for Drake Maye or Jacoby Bri sett, he may find himself a role, but that's a big if.  Reijo Ruotsalainen Jersey
