Pittsburgh could be looking for a new starting running back soon, as team MVP Kenneth Gainwell and could end up walking for a lucrative deal elsewhere. 2025 third-round pick Kaleb Johnson could step in and replace Gainwell as the starter, but he had a rough rookie year, and it wouldn't be wise for the Steelers to put all their eggs in one basket. Signing Walker would be an electric move by general manager Omar Khan, as the Michigan State product would elevate Pittsburgh's rushing attack and provide some juice and big-play ability to the position group. Walker will land a deal worth $9 million annually, but believes that number could be as high as $13 million per year. The Steelers are slated to have over , and though Walker will cost a pretty penny to add, Pittsburgh should make the splash signing and see its running game go to new heights.
